The Truth about the ministry of Rodney Howard Browne

And suddenly it happened…

with 14 comments

Just a year ago I was sitting in one of Rodney Howard-Browne’s meeting, and suddenly out of no where it happened.  I was just minding my own businness and listening to the words that were being spoken.  I began to feel my heart begin to pound harder and harder.  My hands became sweaty and my whole body began to shake. I felt like I was going to have to jump out of my chair.  The fire of God came upon me and I was not able to control myself.  Tears began to roll off my cheek as I began to hear myself laughing.  The next thing that I know, I was on the floor and a peace began to come over me.  I got up off the floor knowing that something had happened on the inside of me.

The touch I received that night in that Rodney Howard-Browne meeting brought a whole new meaning to my life…revival is not just for a church service, but that I could live in revival every day of my life.  One touch from God and your life will never be the same.

  1. I had a similar experience at a revival meeting. I drove from my hometown to one of the services of the Summer Camp Meeting and WOW! My life will never be the same. I didn’t grow up with the Joy or where the Holy Spirit could flow as freely as it did that night. God did something radical in my life that night and I’ve never been the same since. I felt the fire of God flow through my entire body, burning out all that shouldn’t be there, and after that I felt as if God wrapped His arms around me and gave me a big hug! Something started stirring deep down in my spirit and all of a sudden this immense joy started bubbling out of me! It was wonderful! Later that week I saw some pictures of other people that had gotten touched that night. God is so good! This really is something that you can experience every single day of your life!

  2. The Lord is so wonderful! I also visited the church in July 2007 for Summer Camp meeting. I was touched by the Spirit of the God in such a powerful way, it was life changing. The Fire of God was moving across the entire church and it was wonderful.

  3. I had a similar experience. One Sunday morning service the fire of God hit the choir and I felt like I was burning up. It was cold in the building, but I felt like I was on fire. Pastor had the choir members go and sit by people in the congregation. Then the fire of God hit the congregation too. I’ll never forget it. I wish everyone could experience the presence of God like we do in revival.

  4. Richard, you should have been here this past winter campmeeting. The last Sunday night of the camp meeting, the Fire of God fell while he was preaching and it radically changed the lives of the young people. Some of the teenagers that were attending that night were hit by the Fire of God for the very first time. We had one teenager girl who trembled under the power of God for about one hour. Her hand and feet would not stop shaking. Her lips kept quivering and she was not able to stop it.

When she got up from off the floor, she shared what had happened to her. She said that the Lord was shaking everything that was not of God off of her hands. God was going to use her to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. Her feet were shaking because God told her that he was going to begin to direct her path. And her lips were quivering because He was taking all of the junk out that she had been speaking and that He was going to use her lips to preach the gospel to her generation.

This young girl will never be the same. She is a senior in high school and God is using her to reach her generation.

  5. This is simply wonderful. God loves us so much that he personally touches our lives and restores us to touch the lives of others. I am excited to attend the next Camp Meeting this year and be apart of the move of the Holy Spirit.

  6. nicole, I understanding what you’re talking about. Pastor was preaching at a campmeeting and I was just sitting there listening. When I remembered that just a few days earlier an associate’s wife had died of a drug overdose. Even though I had never met her, I grieved for her, now in eternity. As far as I know, she never had received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. I began to weep for her and the lost, and the power of God came down on me. He came over to me and said “Dear Lady, come here.” He laid hands on me and I collapsed on the floor. The Lord spoke to me and said that I would pull many from the flames! Since then I have had the privilege of leading many to Jesus and His saving grace!

  7. Yes, that’s what its all about, letting God do whatever he wants to in your heart. Then God can use you to reach your generation. Revival is all about change, a change in your life for the better. I know God has done that in me through the ministry.

  9. The first night I attended one of Pastor’s meetings I was so utterly touch to see the difference in these peoples lives. The difference was that you could see that they were doing something with the fire God was giving them, and in return the Holy Spirit poured out more. I was weeping uncontrollably when I saw these on fire for God youth. It was something that I desired, and forever changed my life.

  10. there is a great picture of some of the young people at the River being touched by God. Pastor talks about some of the young adults in our church who were touched years ago by revival and are still radically on fire.

  11. The move of God is so evident in his ministry. My first encounter at Dix Hills New York Great Awakeing Tour was great. The power of God was so strong. Many people were touched that week. I had never seen the power of God like that before. Soul winning each day was awesome. Any person that loves Jesus must not miss being a part.

  14. I have been in many of Pastor’s meetings… people make so much of the “joy” that bubbles up in his meetings but I simply enjoy the tremendous accuracy and anointing with which PRHB teaches and his deep-rooted passion for evangelism. I can do with or without the Holy Spirit “laughter”, I’ve experienced it and it is a wonderful experience – but that’s what it is, an experience. The Word of God being taught in truth and power, with signs and wonders following and the changes that the Spirit of God has wrought in me is what brings me to the River.

PS One of the things people don’t realize is that a lot of the “laughter” starts because the man is genuinely funny. I always have a great time being ministered to and worshipping God at the River… what a great church!
