How Hungry Are You?
As a believer, we must be hungry for the things of God. A few months ago i was sitting in one of Rodney Howard-Browne’s meetings and he was speaking on “The Hungry Heart.” He began to share on how to receive a hungry heart. It is nothing difficult to do, it is actually very simple. In order to get a hungry heart, we first need to strip away anything that would hinder us from receiving that hungry heart. I realized that I needed to rearrange some of the areas of my life that I was spending alot of time in. Instead of those activities that I enjoyed doing, I needed to begin to spend more time in the word and with Him. We cannot expect God to make us hungry for Him if we not even spend time with Him. Rodney Howard-Browne also spoke on getting rid of any spiritual junk in our lives. We need to make sure that what we hear lines up with the word of God. We must not associate with people that would cause bad influences in our lives, but place ourselves around people who have like-faith.
That is so true that we need to make sure we’re on the word not some tradition or goofy idea. I am so confident in the teaching. It is full of scripture and grace and Holy Ghost!

God began to deal with me too concerning the priorities in my life. I was watching pastor and asking myself that very question. “How hungry am I?”, so I rearranged some things in my life and the hunger in my heart has began to grow stronger and stronger! Thank God for the ministry!

I agree spending time with the Lord is important. We have a relationship with Jesus. It is like a marriage; we must communicate with each other and spend time with each other. It can’t be a one sided thing. Spending time with the Lord is awesome! There is nothing like it in the entire world!

Thank you Henderson, Pastor’s notes on the heart were very good. Jayne our relationship with Jesus is like matrimony. If we got married and dropped off the bride at home and returned ten to thirty years later would there still be a loving relationship? No. Just like our marital relationship time must be spent with the Lord daily.

Wow, I checked out the notes on pastor’s website revival.com. I just started thinking to myself where is my hunger level and is there anything blocking. Because one of the things that the notes said was the revival comes out of a hungry heart. But just like you guys were saying it’s just like a relationship and you have to give your all to God. I am so glad that he encourages us to stay hungry and get rid of all the junk of the world!
